WOW! That's all I can say about the party that King Sweat made for US! It's taken this long for us to come down from our high enough to thank you properly.
As you know, Jay and I ran away to Vegas to get married. We still wanted to celebrate with friends and family. And we did NOT want to fall into a 'reception' trap - we wanted a fun party, pure and simple. The most important issue for us was the music - especially since the venue we chose was ALL about music.
I'd heard you play at Memphis Smoke several times and wanted your band. Not only did you NOT disappoint, but you learned two new songs for us and did them very well! You absolutely rocked the music, the party, the guests and mostly, our souls. I still get a shiver when I 'hear' Ping's voice in my head. The band was tight and the dance floor was filled all night. You did it, Tony and band! You provided the soul for the party that we wanted. Over and over again we have heard from our guests how much they enjoyed the music ... and then of course, they would ask "Where in the world did you find them?". Life does work in mysterious ways ....
Tony, our heartfelt thanks for your most gracious gift to us in beginning our new life together ... the music - because as we all know ... Music is Love.

We have definitely been meaning to write a review for you. We said at the beginning of the planning process that one of the two most important things for us was to find a stellar band (the other was food) - we got better than we could have asked for with King Sweat!! Everyone at the wedding raved about you and we couldn't have been happier. How often does a band get called back for an encore?? And how often does that band actually play the encore?? Truly, you guys were exceptional. I haven't been at a wedding where so many guests were on the dance floor all night. We would recommend you without a second thought and we hope that you get some good business as a result of playing our wedding!! We look forward to seeing you play again!

When Kelly and I started searching for bands to play at our wedding, we quickly became nervous due to the "cheese" factor of many of the groups we screened. As a musician myself, I was looking for a band that sounded like something you would hear at a concert or club, not something that was pieced together purely for weddings and similar events. I wanted a band that had chemistry and would not hesitate to "jam" if the crowd was giving the appropriate response or the mood struck them. In sum; I wanted real musicians. I found that and more when I stumbled across King Suite. From the moment I made contact with Tony Suhy, I knew that my wedding music would be handled with professionalism and I would have a truly unique night of music...not just a group of musicians playing the music exactly as the sheet music dictated. Tony answered all of my questions, allowed me to modify the set lists and organized all the aspects of scheduling so it was one less thing I had to worry about. The band arrived when they said they would, set up their amazing stage and impressive equipment, and waited patiently in the wings for the night of entertainment to begin. I really knew I was working with high caliber musicians when our dinner time began to overlap with the band's start time. They waited patiently, but I could tell they were eager to play....a sure sign of true musicianship. At this moment, King Suite struck me as a band that really enjoyed what they were doing...not just a bunch of people pieced together on a weekend to make a buck. Ping (lead vocals) was the contact person at our wedding and she could not have been more personable and friendly. She gave Kelly and I big hugs and congratulated us, while making sure we were pleased as the night progressed. As soon as they played the first note, our guests began having a great time. I cannot tell you how many of our guests complimented the sound of the band. I was continually asked where I found them and to this day, I still hear compliments about how talented they were and how much fun everyone had. The dance floor was packed the entire night. When the music ended, people were still on the dance floor wanting more. In sum, I highly recommend King Suite without hesitation. They are the real deal. If you are not a musician, you may not truly understand just how talented this band is. I assure you that you will not forget your wedding or special event if this band is in the room. My husband and I have many fond memories of our wedding day, one of which was the spectacular entertainment provided by King Sweat. Our guests were captivated by the evening’s soft jazz over dinner, and afterwards, music from Motown, “the Eighties,” and many other of our favorites. King Sweat set the tone for a festive night of dancing and flowed with the night’s energy. The sensuous voice of Ping, head singer, and Tony’s emceeing added to the intimacy of the evening, creating a special experience for our guests and us.
King Sweat was extremely friendly, professional, as well as accommodating. One of our best memories of our wedding was when King Sweat played a special encore for my closest family and friends at the close of the evening, allowing us to unabashedly “let our hair down.” It was indisputably the best way to wrap up the long day’s celebration!
We were also impressed with the generosity of time given us by Tony Suhy. Preceding the event, he spent considerable time consulting and corresponding, putting to rest our numerous concerns. In terms of expectations, we found his advice to be truthful and exact.
After considering the likes of a dj, and worrying about the practicality of a band, my only regret was that I didn’t get to experience the extensive repertoire of King Sweat due to the evening’s time constraints. My guests still comment, several months afterward, on the memorable experience of the evening. Mission accomplished! Thank you, Tony and King Sweat!

Michelle and I would like to thank King Suite/Sweat for their outstanding performance and we would definitely recommend the band to anyone that would be interested.
They played our wedding on June 12th, 2004 at the Birmingham Community House. Everyone at the wedding thought the band did a phenomenal job. We had them play a dinner set of music that was great for the mood and then followed it up with an eclectic array of dance music that was outstanding. The band went out of their way to learn and play our wedding song and wedding party song and played them exactly the way we wanted them to. All eyes were on us on the dance floor. They also allowed us to choose songs that we wanted them to play and identify songs that we didn’t want played. We had people on the dance floor all night long and afterwards all we have had is compliments on the band from our guests.
Tony Suhy is an exceptionally nice guy and he and the entire band was great to work with. We even had positive comments from the staff at The Community House who advised us the band was very courteous and respectful. Overall it was a great experience in dealing with Tony and the band.
